15 juillet 2006Euroforum Firenze, association culturelle, s’intéresse à sensibiliser le public, cette année, sur les différentes problématiques liées à la prison.
Dans ce but, nous participons au Visionaria International Video Festival de Siene (Italie) avec un Prix Spécial Euroforum que sera assigné au meilleur court métrage sur la prison conçue comme une realité que ne se limite pas derrière les barreaux mais qui va aussi au dehors de ceux-ci.
L’intéret de cet évenement est de chercher à montrer les aspects les plus nombreux et souvent inconnus qui se déroulent autour d’une realité comme celle de la prison.

3000 EURO TO THE BEST SHORT FILM !
At this year’s edition of the International Video Festival Euroforum Firenze will confer a prize worth 3000 Euro to the author of the best short film on the topic :
Europe Beyond Bars
Prison life in and outside jail
What can images reveal about a world unknown to most of us ?
Euroforum Firenze dedicates a special award to the best short film on this still obscured part of society.
Participation is open to all categories including video art, video languages, experimental, narrative and fictional films, docufictions, comedies, animation and computer animated films, documentaries etc. and film makers are free to deal with the topic from any perspective they whish to.
The short films participating in the competition will be shown during one day that will be dedicated entirely to the prize conferred by Euroforum Firenze, and a jury of experts will assign the prize to the best work.
Moreover, prison issues will be discussed during a conference involving well-known experts and giving a voice to those concerned from in and outside jail.
Short films participating in the Euroforum Firenze competition can also run for the prizes issued by Visionaria, which amount to a total sum of 9000 Euro.
